Choosing High Fidelity Carefully by Barbara Mayer
Barbara Mayer reviews guidance from Bose’s John Wawzonek on selecting home hi fi systems. He notes spending at least 400 dollars yields properly engineered components and advises upgrading the cartridge, testing speakers in a room with few boxes, and preferring home trials to store demos. He warns rooms affect sound and suggests decor to reduce hiss. Digital recording may expand with future tech.
