Court hears appeal on Viagra sales online
Kansas Supreme Court reviewed a consumer protection appeal over doctor Levine's Confimed.com online Viagra sales. The case involves a 16-year-old client of a Kansas Bureau of Investigation agent and questions whether prescribing without a physical exam breaches unconscionable acts in commerce. The state argues doctor conduct endangered patients. Levine's side says no misrepresentation occurred. The court could rule in January as AG Stovall expands suits against Internet drug sales.
