Rural Kansas groups expand lobbying for counties
Tim Hagemann of the Kansas Legislative Policy Group says 29 western Kansas counties will hire a fulltime lobbyist, Pete McGill, to monitor legislation. Johnson County also adds a fulltime lobbyist, Gerry Ray, as local governments seek influence amid rising state regulatory complexity.
