Nicholas Slim Wiesen 84 formerly of Ottawa died yesterday in St Francis hospital Wichita where he had lived 38 years. He was construction superintendent for Cook and Stucker and helped pave Ottawa streets. Survivors include widow Myrtle 933 Ash daughter Mrs Nelson Tipton son H E Wichita twelve grandchildren four great grandchildren Funeral Mass at St Anthony's Wichita Monday 9 a.m. Grave side service Mt Calvary Cemetery Ottawa 2:30 p.m. Monday by Rev Matthew Guilfoyle.

New York Times reports the United States and Britain will build and man four bases in Britain for 1500 mile range missiles. Secretary McElroy told the Senate the missiles will be in service in Britain by end of 1953, with Thor and Jupiter production under way. Three squadrons to be British led, one by the U.S. Air Force, funded mainly by Britain.
In Slatersville Rhode Island Dennis Piette, 15, with aplastic anemia, received a marrow transplant from his uncle Alfred Contildes. The procedure, done Oct 30 at New England Center Hospital, revived his strength, enabling him to hunt three weeks later and plan a return to school after the new year. The Atomic Energy Commission has shown interest due to potential implications for radiation injuries.
Funeral services for Mrs May Frink Converse were held today at 4 p.m. in the Coughlin Funeral Home Wellsville with Rev Loyal Hiatt officiating. Burial followed in Wellsville Cemetery.

Dr Cline V McWilliams of Kansas City Kansas pleaded guilty in U S District Court to evading payment of federal income taxes for 1952 through 1955. Sentence deferred to Jan 2. Assistant U S Attorney Milton Beach said he reported 13 592 02 income and paid 2 002 44 in taxes though earnings were 37 654 05, with a tax due of 7 720 93.

Two soldiers identified as escapees from Ft. Riley were arrested by Dodge City police. James A. Ronholdt and Dale Dillon, both of Minneapolis, escaped Monday. Henry J. Rushmeyer of Brainerd, Minn., was arrested with them and is AWOL from Ft. Riley.
