Andruw Jones agrees to a two year 36.2 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers pending a physical. The move marks the club’s first major acquisition since hiring Joe Torre as manager and follows a flurry of offseason trades including Detroit’s blockbuster Cabrera Willis swap with Florida. Jones, a ten time Gold Glove center fielder, batted .222 with 26 homers last season and would be a high impact addition to bolster a lineup that ranked last in home runs.
