Franchione resigns to take SW Texas State coaching post
Pittsburg State named Chuck Broyles as head coach after Dennis Franchione left to coach at Southwest Texas State University. Franchione posted a 53-6 record over five years with the Gorillas, who were 12-1 this season and had a 45 game regular season win streak. Broyles, PSU alumnus, previously served as defensive coordinator at Missouri-Rolla and at Miami High School in Oklahoma.
