Non-Smoker Gets His Way On Smokers Flight Incident
Richard Lent, a Washington tax attorney, sought a non smoking seat on a Washington to New York shuttle. After a quarrel ignited by smokers in Lent’s row, Captain Kinsey ordered calming measures and ultimately landed the plane at Baltimore Washington International Airport amid disruptive passengers. Some travelers redirected to other flights, arriving three hours late at La Guardia. Lent denied issuing threats and said he only wanted a no smoking seat.
