Evening parade survives weather in Ottawa area
The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade proceeded despite warm windy wet conditions. Attendance praised the new evening format with many floats and strong community support. Crown Realty and Franklin County Emergency Service tied for the commercial adult prize. Cub Scout Pack No 3079 and Elks Lodge No 803 won non commercial youth and adult categories. Ottawa High School was the sole marching band, a disappointment to some and to Cale Paquette who wished more bands performed.
