High Court Upholds City Right To Reject Bids
The Kansas Supreme Court unanimously supported Ottawa's choice to reject Case-Bros. Inc. bid for the 1976 fire station remodel, affirming the city may reject bids not preferred by officials. The ruling, 6-0 with one nonparticipating justice, states the city was not obligated to accept the lowest bid if it deems other factors justify rejection.
