You can't take 'Christ' out of Christmas
The essay argues Christmas remains a Holy Day and highlights symbols. Evergreen wreaths symbolize eternal life, with red ribbons recalling Christ’s blood. A St Winifred story links the fir tree to endless life. Martin Luther popularized the Christmas tree, candles, and starry sky. The candy cane symbolizes Jesus, the Good Shepherd, and the blood shed for salvation.
