Pristine historic home to star in Christmas Homes Tour
Ottawa residents will tour the 1932 Dawson residence at 321 West Third Street during the Ransom Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Christmas Homes Tour from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Scott Dawson calls the Tudor style house a caretaker of Ottawa history, noting original plaster woodwork and blueprints. The home formerly housed the Bennett Creamery Co. family, a major local employer from 1902 to 1968, and features arches plaster details and gothic doorway elements.
