A severe winter storm driven by 60 mph winds swept from Nebraska into South Dakota Iowa and Minnesota crippling highways with deep drifts. More than 100 miles of I-90 were blocked as rescuers searched for stranded travelers. At least two people died including an 80 year old in Brookings and a Lincoln man on an oil rig collapse.
