Price Commission limits coal wage pass through to 9.6 percent
In its first coal industry ruling the Price Commission said coal firms may pass on only 60 percent of large wage increases to consumers. Old Ben Coal Co. asked for 6.71 percent price lift but was allowed 3.78 percent. total 9.6 percent includes a 5.5 percent wage rise and 4.1 percent for miners pension benefits.

Communications Link Sought In Drug Program
Dr. Robert A. Gollier II proposed a telephone hookup to help people talk about drugs at a Drug Abuse Program meeting in Ottawa. About 60 attendees heard from Rev. Fred M. Gibson Ottawa University chaplain R. Michael Latimer Franklin County attorney and George F. Kramer a local pharmacist. Latimer stressed growing drug issues and a tougher path to prosecutions without informants. Latimer noted police have limited evidence without tips and that the law allows counsel before disposition. Dr. Gollier said alcohol is the most abused socially accepted drug and urged group therapy for experimenters. Kramer voiced concern for children growing up in a healthy environment.
