Judge allows DNA testing in Ottawa quadruple murder case
Franklin County Judge Thomas H. Sachse would permit consumptive DNA testing on evidence if it yields the fullest DNA profile in the Kyle T. Flack case. The Ottawa defendant faces two counts of capital murder four counts of first degree murder rape and criminal possession of a firearm for the deaths of three adults and an 18 month old girl. The status hearing sought guidance on preserving unconsumed samples for defense testing while allowing the state to proceed with selective consumption. The next status conference is set for October 17 2014.
