Gospel Singers Renew Faithful Teen Ensemble
Rex Skiles says he was not into singing until the group formed. The core members include Gatlin, Mike Gentry, Judy Driver, Steven Dietz, Barbie Peters, and Mark Nelson, ages 14 to 17, from Pomona. Since March 7 they have performed about 25 times at churches, YFC rallies, nursing homes, and tours in Andover and Lyons. They plan more bookings in Pittsburg and Overland Park, mostly weekends, with a goal of supporting a Lord driven mission and musical revival next summer at Lake Pomona. The group funds itself through $3 monthly pledges and donations, works toward debt reduction, and cherishes a close family-like fellowship at Rex Skiles home. Their favorite songs include Pass It On, I Look For Love, and It’s A Wonderful Day.

Productivity gap and the path to faster growth
The article argues that the United States faces a severe lag in output per hour, with productivity improvements driven by smarter management and labor efficiency rather than edicts. It contrasts U.S. performance with Japan and Sweden, notes low capital investment relative to GNP, and calls for modernizing plants and machinery to boost employment and profits while stabilizing prices.
