Ottawa High cross country holds 5 p.m. time trials Friday on the OHS track to set varsity and junior varsity lineups for the season. Boxing manager Yank Durham dies at 52 in Philadelphia
Yancey Yank Durham, longtime manager of boxing champions including Joe Frazier Bob Foster and Willie Monroe, died after a stroke suffered Aug 28. He was 52 and had been in a coma since then. Durham died at Temple University Hospital with Frazier and his family present. He began in PAL gyms and worked as a railroad welder before guiding Frazier to fame.
