Defoliation Study At East-Central Kansas Field Day
JOAN ISTAS reports on a defoliation study led by Kansas State agronomist Larry Murphy at the East-Central Kansas Experimental Field day on Aug 31. Three sorghum plots planted May 17 and June 12 receive liquid nitrogen treatments with a check plot, moisture and nitrate testing planned, and soil nitrogen carryover analyzed. Field day program includes talks on nitrogen fertilizer, herbicides, insecticides, sorghum and soybean varieties.
