Police investigate the deaths of Carrie Elwell nine and Brandon King six found suffocated inside an old basement refrigerator in Ichita Kansas. Autopsies confirm suffocation and unclear if entry was voluntary or forced as investigators seek whether accidental, suicide or homicide.

Funeral services for Emory L Morgan 84 Ottawa will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lamb Roberts Heise Funeral Home Ottawa with Rev. John Blythe officiating. Burial in Highland Cemetery Ottawa. He was born Oct 1 1912 at Garber OK and later farmed on the family farm northeast of Ottawa. He was a K-State graduate in animal husbandry and dairy science 1936 and involved with Franklin County Farm Bureau and Ottawa Co-op. Surviving are three daughters three sons a sister 23 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Memorials to First Baptist Church Ottawa or Franklin County ADA.

Sheriff's News Arrest in Harris Drug Warrants
Robert Joseph Harris, 43, of Killeen, Texas, booked into Franklin County jail on two warrants charging drug crimes with a $35,000 bond. He was picked up in Fort Worth after prior felony warrants. 1989 arrest by Kansas Highway Patrol involved 150 pounds of marijuana. Also notes domestic dispute, prowlers, thefts, vandalism, and multiple medical emergencies and fire calls across area.
