Ottawa University women’s soccer routs MidAmerica Nazarene 3 0
The Ottawa University women's soccer team dominated possession and created chances at Peoples Bank Field, defeating MidAmerica Nazarene University 3 0. Erin Stengel made six saves to preserve the clean sheet as Caroline Jenkins scored twice and Autumn Surage opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Jenkins added a second goal in the 75th minute and Trapp assisted Surage and Jenkins on their scores, with Ottawa totaling 14 shots. Ottawa (1-0-0) hosts Missouri Valley College at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Ottawa University men’s soccer lost 6-0 at Pioneer Field in Olathe as MidAmerica Nazarene University dominated with 28-3 shots. Goalkeepers Dariusz Aitkenhead and Mark Bleich split time, Bleich with four saves and Aitkenhead five. The Braves drop to 0-1 and host Graceland University at 4 p.m. Saturday.

OU volleyball opener ends in 3-1 loss to Benedictine
The Ottawa University volleyball team opened the season with a 3-1 setback at home to Benedictine in Wilson Field House. Ottawa lost 20-25 in the first set while Benedictine’s serving, including Patricia Moura’s aces, sparked the visitors. The Lady Braves drop to 0-1 and head to the Viking Invitational in Marshall, Missouri, with games against Grandland and Avila scheduled.
