Ewok Stars and Spin Offs Drive Star Wars Revenue
The Return of the Jedi's first day haul set a historic high and Lucasfilm anticipates strong returns from Ewok spin offs. Ewoks, small actors in hot costumes, created distinct personalities through dances and animal calls. Kenny Baker, famous for R2 D2, also portrayed an Ewok named Paploo. Warrick C. Davis, age 11, played Wicket, a key Ewok.
