Chicago reports Major League owners rejected three proposals by the Major League Players Association to fund Marvin Miller's salary and running costs. Miller expressed disappointment as owners freed players from the 2 per day pension fund payment, shifting funds and TV income considerations for 1967 and 1968. Aimed changes included joint All Star sponsorship, pension fund administration study, and player option on the 2 per day or pension deduction. Owners also paused on college signing agreements.
