Unmaking Of An Animal Shelter At Franklin County Rescue
Diane Yeamans reports chronic underfunding at the Franklin County Humane Society Animal Shelter on West 17th Street. Manager Alta Cruces says the facility lacks money for vital repairs and improvements including a roof for outside pens, painting, guttering, and incinerator work, while secretary Tom Gleason notes a yearly budget around 21 000 to 22 000 dollars with no capital funds.
