Capper Home Restoration Faces Garnett Site Hurdles
Frank Renzenburger of Garnett has raised about 2300 for restoring the Capper home but lacks a suitable site. County refused move location and the city has taken no definite action. The two room brick house near the water works is in poor shape and may need 2500 to complete repairs. Capper born 1865 in Garnett, some doubt birthplace but he has a letter confirming it. Funds total 2300 with 350 in capper museum group treasury after additions and a possible new director may take possession.
