Young Buyers Favor Quality in Ottawa Furniture Market
A survey of Ottawa furniture salesmen and store owners finds younger buyers prioritize quality over cheapness, with many willing to spend more on durable pieces. Unmarried buyers often opt for pricier items, while couples with children often start with basic pieces and later upgrade. Traditional and Early American styles appeal, and bedroom emphasis grows as queen beds replace doubles. Younger buyers mix styles, favor bright colors and velvet upholstery, and many move into furnished apartments before settling in longer term.
