Franklin County eyes open burn ban amid heat
Officials plan a burn ban by Thursday as forecasts show only 30 percent storm chances and highs near 100. Open burning has been prohibited since Sunday with a March system giving fire chiefs authority to curb fires on high wind or drought days.
