Airplane hangar home reworks win praise in Ottawa area
Mr and Mrs Roy Dunn transform an 80 acre hangar into a livable residence in Ottawa RFD 2. Over five months they plastered and painted interiors, rebuilt floors, cabinets, and paneling, and designed a spacious kitchen and living area. Mrs Dunn handles curtains and staining while Roy builds a custom queen bookcase bed. They plan a back workshop and hope to finish a guest room and study before Roy leaves for Army service next month. Dunn, a 1968 OU graduate, will continue his wife’s studies at Ottawa University in his absence.
