Staircase Miracle At Santa Fe Convent
A legendary staircase at the Santa Fe Sisters of Loretto chapel, built in the 1870s over a reported miracle, defies standard carpentry with a circular 33-step design and two 360 degree turns. Built with a single stairway without central support, its wood, pegs, and hidden sourcing remain mysteries as engineers note subtle movement and the structure endures after 85 years of daily use.
