Opal E West 93 of Lawrence formerly Sabetha Ottawa died August 12 2000 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Services were held at Sabetha Cemetery. Born August 25 1906 in Sullivan Illinois she married Ralph A West in 1926. She was a homemaker and school cafeteria cook and later lived at Brandon Woods. Survived by two sisters Violet Cartright Lacy WA and Bonnie Nevius Prescott AZ and many nieces and nephews. daughter Donna Marie West preceded in death. Memorials to Kansas State University Cancer Research Fund.
