Antique Tractor Pull Set for Franklin County Fairgrounds
The Franklin County Agriculture Society hosts its second annual Antique Tractor Pull and garden tractor event at the fairgrounds rodeo arena this Saturday. About 100 to 120 pullers are expected, with new weighs and scales, plus added super classes for smaller tractors. A swap meet, poultry sales, crafts, bake sale, horseshoe contest, antique cars, and stationary engines are also planned with free grounds access beyond grandstand entry.

National Farmers Memorial Dedicated Labor Day in Missouri
Bonner Springs will unveil the National Farmers Memorial at the Agricultural Hall of Fame on Labor Day. Three high relief panels, each 10 by 11 feet, depict the farmer of the past present and future. The panels travel from Florida where cast in steel and bronze by Lewis Watkins. The ceremony will be public with a concert on August 31 and attendance expected from dignitaries and agricultural leaders.
