Elvis the peregrine falcon keeps 18th floor perch at Knoxville Hilton

Elvis the peregrine falcon, nicknamed for his sideburn pattern, will stay atop Knoxville's downtown Hilton as the hotel updates its signs. Hilton managers reached an agreement to keep one 18th floor logo, while Elvis continues to hunt starlings and pigeons from the perch above Fort Loudoun Lake. The falcon, still a bachelor, may soon be joined by a mate, Priscilla.

Lois E Doty 70 of Quenemo died Saturday August 9 2003 at home. Funeral service set for 2 pm Wednesday at Dengel and Sea Mortuary Ottawa with viewing Tuesday 7 to 8 pm. Born October 15 1932 in Quenemo she worked for Parmalee Plastics and Bruce’s Manufacturing in Ottawa. Survived by four sons Lyle Kevin Eric Doty and David. daughters Brenda Hernandez Katherine Watkins Karla Trammell and Lois Standing Cloud. two brothers David and Michael Mollett. 23 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Margaret L Turner's dies at 85 after long life in Kansas Oregon and Ontario. She was born in 1918, graduated from Ottawa High School and KU, ran an art shop in Newton, lived in Eugene since 1984, married Arthur N Turner in 1942 who died in 1985. Survived by two daughters, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Memorial services set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Washburn Mausoleum in Highland Cemetery Ottawa. Cremation completed.
