Funeral services for Mrs Jessie Graves, who died Aug. 8, were held Aug. 10 at McVey-Dengel Mortuary. Rev Jeff Hadden of Greenwood Baptist Church officiated. Pallbearers were Kennedy, George, Percy, Lee Graves, Don Collins and John Davis. Mrs Nick Huderson sang hymns with piano accompaniment by Mrs R L Stevens. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery Franken County.

Mrs Carter Terhune of Crescent Oklahoma died yesterday born July 1875 south of Wellsville. She married Carter M Terhune in 1902 and after his 1928 death lived with her daughter Mrs J W Bell. Survived by two granddaughters and siblings Mrs Effie Walker Mrs E W Smay Miss Mary Carpenter Albert Carpenter Lillie C Scott all of Ottawa and L R Carpenter Carney Oklahoma. Funeral set for tomorrow at 2 30 p m with Miss Mary Carpenter and Mr and Mrs Merle Paul planning to travel from Ottawa.

Texas Union Leader Slain
A Texas union leader was shot to death and a union hall bombed in separate incidents. Jeff Mullally, district organizer for Plumbers and Steamfitters Union in Texas and Oklahoma, had his Richland Hills home destroyed by a dynamite bomb while he and his wife were away. Earlier, a Houston pipefitters union hall was damaged by an explosion and dynamite sticks were found at a union official’s home. James Huff, 37, boiler makers local business manager, was killed in Galveston about 12 hours later. Clarence Wilkins, 48, was charged with murder. Mason Lankford said the bomb used dynamite. Police noted no immediate link between the events.
