Soaring Prices Aren't Setting Well With Americans
An AP NBC News poll shows rising prices eroding confidence in the U.S. economy and diminishing belief in President Carter’s ability to manage economic problems. Inflation runs at 11.4 percent for April to June, with a 10.4 percent projected for 1978 if trends continue. Unemployment rose from 5.7 to 6.2 percent in July, but public worry centers on inflation.
