Mofongo World’s Largest Batch Served at Ponce Mall
In Ponce Puerto Rico the Plaza del Caribe mall claims the world’s largest mofongo a giant dish of mashed plantains with garlic and meat. About 4 000 portions served by mid afternoon with 5 000 more to go 3 000 plantains 300 pounds chicken 100 pounds pork rinds 50 pounds mild peppers and a three gallon sofrite sauce were used.
