U S student leaves Russia after parole granted
Freed American student John Tobin departed Moscow on a Delta flight to New York five days after parole release from a Russian jail where he served half of a one year marijuana possession sentence. Tobin, 24, spoke of going home and reuniting with family, while embassy officials and his father accompanied him. The case had strained U S Russia relations and was raised by President Bush at a Putin summit.
