Pothole Repair To Begin Here In Ottawa
Ottawa will spend about 15000 in the next two days repairing potholes on Main Street and nearby intersections using state funded money. City manager Robert Mills said 12800 came from a 5 million pothole bill approved last spring. Main Street from Seventh to 15th will receive most work including removal of rippled asphalt at Seventh and Eighth, with new hot mix laid. Ripples at Ninth and Main and Ash at Seventh will also be fixed. A patching program on Seventh Street will continue through winter pending state rebuilding funds. Engineering on the Seventh Street project will begin soon. Concrete work continues at the new 5 million water treatment plant, with the contractor reporting ahead of schedule.
