Blue Ford pickup sought after Franklin County hit-and-run injures two girls
Franklin County authorities hunt for a blue Ford pickup believed 1986 to 1990 model year after a hit-and-run on US-59 left Mary B. Peter 35 and her two daughters Emily 7 and Hannah 9 from Lawrence injured. The van occupants wore seatbelts. the two children were restrained by lap belts. Emily was treated at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Hannah was moved to Stormont Vail and later released. The driver fled after forcing the van off the road about 30 miles south of Ottawa at 10:45 a.m. Saturday. Police seek information from witnesses or anyone who saw the pickup or incident.
