Shutt, 21, Ottawa, arrested 12:02 am for aggravated battery and attempted aggravated robbery. Missouri man hospitalized with serious injuries.
A.m. Tuesday at the 100 block of U.S. 59 a vehicle driven by Joseph Thyer 47 Blue Mound struck a deer causing over 1000 dollars in damage. At 72 24 p.m. Tuesday Old U.S. 59 and Reno Road Joshua M. Cuffe 24 Burlington northbound rear ended Debo rah L. Smethers 49 Baldwin City stopping in front of him with damage over 1000 dollars.
A 30-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown suspect entered his unlocked car on the 1200 block of South Hickory and stole an item at 6:59 p.m. Wednesday. Police logged a suspicious activity call on the 100 block of West Sixth Street.
At 2 24 p m on Wednesday the Ottawa Fire Department responded to a carbon monoxide incident at 506 South Main Street. No injuries reported and residents evacuated safely. Fire crews assessed the scene and ventilated the property as a precaution.
