The Lane Fair runs this weekend with a 7 30 p.m parade and Neon Rose concert. Saturday features Miles for Meals, a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m., a horse show at 9, a greased pig contest, three man basketball, horseshoe pitching at 10, an apple pie bake at noon, Leonard Humphrey and a pony pull at 1 30, bingo 2 00 to 6 00, barbecue 6 to 8, and Kansas Old Time Pickers at 8. Also Shamar Country Jamboree at Ottawa Municipal Auditorium 7 30 Saturday. Museums open 1 to 5 Saturday and Sunday. art at hospital and library, KU campus exhibit, and American Legion State Tournament. Victor L. Dumond, 63, of 1651 Chestnut, died Thursday morning at home from anaphylaxis shock after a wasp sting. RMH nursing supervisor Mike Lear cited a history of reactions and lack of counteracting drug at the scene. The incident occurred while he was outside his residence.
