Penny Ante Aroused Vern Raps State Drug Assault
Kansas Attorney General Vern Miller told the State Finance Council the drug crackdown is a penny ante effort and asked to exceed the budget by 24 967 dollars in federal funds to add four undercover agents. The council approved the extra money for fiscal 1972 boosting the narcotics unit to 12 agents. Miller noted Arizona's larger program and said he expected sharper scrutiny from lawmakers. Lt. Gov.
