The Wittman reunion and picnic were held July 31 at Lake Pomona with 40 attendees. The afternoon featured boat rides and visits. Attendees included several Wittman family members and spouses from Kansas City, Topeka, Pomona, Ottawa, and nearby areas, plus two visiting nephews.

The Daughters Club of Centropolis celebrated its 35th anniversary with a Thursday luncheon at the House of Douglas hosted by Mrs. William Clark and Mrs. Tilfred Simmons. A business session led by Mrs. Earl Sink followed, and plans were made for an ice cream supper on Sunday evening, Aug. 7, at the Ted Clark home for members and families.
