Suspected Arson Behind Emerald Area House Fire
A house near the Franklin Anderson county line one mile east of Emerald was totally destroyed by fire on Thursday night. Investigators from the Anderson County Sheriff's Department suspect arson. The home belonged to the late Duane Campbell, who recently died in an automobile accident. Waverly Fire Department fought the blaze as authorities conduct an investigation.
