Crop Tour Set For Aug 11 At Area Farms
A crops tour will be held Aug 11 starting at 10 a.m. at the Bill Coughenour farm near Wellsville. The event covers weed control and soil fertility with demonstrations of atrazine 2 4 D and other herbicides, plus a Kansas State experiment field visit north of Ottawa. Additional stops at Fehrenbach farm and East Central Kansas Experiment Field cover soybean and corn research, with notes on fair-time livestock care and crop certification deadlines.
