Stinson of Ottawa Kansas died July 31 2017 at Ottawa Retirement Village Born March 4 1926 in Dodge City Kansas the son of Glenn Red Stinson and Josephine Stinson Lived in Oklahoma Kansas and Missouri settled mainly in Princeton area A lifelong farmer he owned a can milk route and co owned Stinson Meat Processing with his wife He was a member of First Christian Church Ottawa the Meat Processors Association Kansas Livestock Association National Angus Association Franklin County Farm Bureau Rural Water District No 2 board member Night Crawlers Camping Club and a 4 H Leader He enjoyed camping fishing hunting and family travels He married Jean Herring November 2 1945 and they shared 69 years together until her death July 9 2015 Survived by daughters Lois Livin good and Karen Martinez son Joe Stinson and Brenda all of Ottawa grandson Jeff Casten and Merrilyn of Quenemo 12 grandchildren 21 great grandchildren Preceded by his wife parents a son David a daughter Joyce and a great granddaughter Funeral services 10 am Saturday August 5 2017 at First Christian Church Ottawa Interment Princeton Cemetery The family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Friday August 4 2017 at First Christian Church Ottawa Memorials to First Christian Church sent c/o Lamb Roberts Funeral Home Ottawa Condolences to the family at lamb-roberts.com
