Modern destroyer Barney shows new ASROC and missiles
The USS Barney near Norfolk is photographed aboard by Dennis Bransitter. The ship replaces depth charges with ASROC rockets and Tartar missiles, and uses computer aided targeting for five inch guns. World War II destroyers are being rebuilt with similar systems to perform guided missile duties.
