Diesel plans mean new ethanol jobs at Garnett plant
East Kansas Agri-Energy LLC will add renewable diesel capacity at its Garnett ethanol plant, producing 3 million gallons per year with potential to double. Construction starts soon, completion in about 12 to 14 months, creating 12 to 15 new jobs in 2015. The upgrade leverages existing facilities to generate two biofuels from one corn kernel and expands the plant's value.
