Hanson: Pop icon fulfills teen's wish at charity art sale
Jeff Hanson, a legally blind 12 year old from Kansas, raised more than 25 thousand dollars for charity through notecard art and paintings. Elton John met him after a Sprint Center show and donated five thousand dollars to the Children's Tumor Foundation. His "Sight for Sore Eyes" works will be shown at Ransom Memorial Hospital with proceeds aiding the hospital auxiliary and AIDS clinics in Africa. Jeff's Bistro profits, notecard sales, and paintings have funded philanthropic projects across multiple organizations.
