Barton County coach pleads not guilty in fraud case
Former Barton County Community College assistant coach Mark Skillman pleaded not guilty in Wichita federal court to charges that he falsified academic records and work study times for athletes including Randy Pulley. He received a $10,000 unsecured bond and resignation followed in 2003 under coach Ryan Wolf, who faces 38 fraud and embezzlement charges.

Ottawa University Announces Two Girls Summer Basketball Leagues
OU will host two girls summer leagues. Middle school runs four Mondays from June 6 to June 27 with eight regular games, T-shirts, and a postseason tournament. High school plays six Tuesdays from May 31 to July 5 with 10 to 12 games, T-shirts, and a single-elimination tournament. Fees are $45 and $60 respectively. apply by May 27 and May 13.
