Wolf Creek drill to review plant disaster response
A public hearing at 2 p.m. May 23 at the Coffey County Courthouse basement in Burlington will critique Wolf Creek Generating Station’s disaster drill and the nuclear plant’s response to a radiation plume. FEMA and NRC officials will assess plant personnel and state local emergency measures during the one day exercise May 21 requiring activation of the state Emergency Operations Center.
