The Rotary Club honored Coday a longtime volunteer and civic leader, noting his four campaigns with the 82nd Airborne Division, service as a command sergeant major in Japan during Korea era, and retirement from the military in 1959. He later worked in telephone management, and ran a trucking business helping motorists. He and his wife Ruby have supported Hope House and many community causes.
