Brisker affair mars NBA draft
The 1973 NBA draft stirred amid the Brisker dispute as Philadelphia sought relief from Seattle’s Brisker signing. Doug Collins opened for the 76ers after a court fight and a postponed start, with several first rounders including Ernie DiGregorio, Kermit Washington and Ed Ratleff. A trade between Cleveland and Portland reshaped early picks while a separate regional list noted 15 local players taken in the 10 round draft.
